Andrew, I've got an audio only setup (no TV stuff). I'm still using the Polk 10B monitors that I bought back in the late 80s. How will these XT60s compare to those? Based on your review I'm thinking of picking up a pair plus a sub. I've had the 10Bs soooo long I'm a little nervous. Hopefully, the state of the art has advanced quite a bit and I'll be blown away. I'd add that instead of 3 sonos amps or 3 other amp type streamers, you can use any of the Onkyo/Pioneer/Integra AV receivers to play in 3 zones and have a better amp than what's in the sonos for similar money, maybe less money as is my case.

I have been contemplating for ever if I should get a dedicated IA fo rmusic listening (have denon 3700h and r3 speakers) . Till this day I could not find a clear answer....there are luxury brands that simply sell exclusivity and there are diminishing returns also. Will a 5000 dollar 100W IA sound better than a 1000 dollar 100W IA when listening at moderate volumes and well below their power limitation? it should sound much better right? and yet I don;t think it will. we need to be talking about this much more....otherwise they feed off our ignorance and overcharge us.

As for the idea of lifting speaker cables off the floor, I have found it can make sense if one has carpet. Lifting my speaker cables off the floor got rid of an annoying buzz which would randomly show up when playing music. I mean SUDDEN, LOUD buzz. Perhaps the signal flowing through the cable on the carpet created the problem (static?). But I used simple wood pieces to get the cables off the carpeted. No more buzz since.

I dont understand why Sony refuses to have a black option on their hta9 series..? Also the new speakers look like very expensive cat scratching magnets!! Im concerned they will be ruined the second i buy them ..

Now I'm going a lot of my memory I asked my brother about model number He's pretty sure I looked it up and it is one of their model numbers. My uncle was an electrical engineer in a violinist I don't think the man ever watch TV.

My 2020 Samsung Q80T in movie or filmmaker is way too dark. I don't care what anyone says. If details are getting washed out in darker scenes, then it's too dark! And the only time I notice the local dimming is in dark scenes. Why Samsung thinks that dimming the picture in dark scenes is beyond me. There is no option to turn off local dimming. Even on low if there's a bit of white lettering on a black background, the white letters turn grey. I put my settings that my eyes like, not what any expert or calibration says it should be.

So one can add DSP to the input & then again on the output?

This has probably already been said, but the streamer isn't a perfect visual match because the display text is a different color. Really disappointing - though kind of a non-issue for the A25 since it already has a higher quality dac than the streamer. I use a much more affordable WiiM Pro connected digitally to the A25.

Hi, does the autolift function work when playing 78 rpm shellac records?

I would love to buy the super Dentons if they were biwire and especially biampable as I love tubes on midrange and treble with transistors on bass. I wonder if I can have a pair customized with extra binding posts, like the regular Dentons.

Does anybody use this to power 3 zones in all channel stereo (9 speakers + subs)? I have 9 zones in my house and I'd like to replace 3 of them with this system for whole home audio. Not loud but a decent volume while walking room to room around the house. I'm worried it will clip if I run that many speakers at once? I'm using Martin logan wall mount panel speakers that I don't think are too power hungry for the 5.1 set up and KEF in ceiling speakers for the other 2 zones. My alternative is to pay up for the Integra 5.4 but there really aren't any features other than more power so hoping to save the $800 USD. Surprised at the lack of newer models in almost 3 years from almost all brands. Onkyo/Integra/Pioneer family seems to be the only brand with 3 zones and Sonos 12v trigger making it a steal hopefully vs any other option if it can really pull all this off? Add Dirac and roon ready? Having trouble steering away from this.

You say that all speaker measurements you did had the dip at 1k Hz, except the KEF r11, but I saw you review of the Wharfedale Elysian 4, and it didn't had have that dip, you even said the Elysian had a noticeable boost in mid-range which would make vocals and instruments sound just a hair warm which should do wonders for lower quality digital recordings or even digital recordings in general. Did I miss something ?

What speakers are in the background there?

Picking up 2 x QSC PLX2502's from a local dealer for lower than expected $$$. Love my already existing Crown XLS2500 with a DIY 12v trigger that I put in.

Would this speaker sound good with a tube amplifier?

Andrew, I'm curious. I have Dynaudio Emit 20's, Emit 10's for rear channel and Dynaudio's center channel. I'm concentrating more on the 20's. have you ever reviewed them? what are your thoughts about them? compared to some of the speakers you have reviewed recently.

Your review of the T2 (which I was going to get) made me realize I didn't have the power to run them so I decided on getting the Martin Logan Foundation F2's and a B2 as a center. Your review of those speakers helped me make that decision. I have had them a week now and love them. They are detailed, dynamic and punchy. A great beautiful speaker.

I'm got mine when it first came out. Spent close to $2K from Crutchfield. Lets just say, it has been such a bad experience with the quality of the electronics I would NEVER buy a Klipsch again. Ive been a fan of Klipsch for a very long time... this system was such a let down I regret my decision like many others. This is why they are selling it less than half of what i bought it for. They know its not good... Shame on the people who run Klipsch

i personally have always paired NAD with my dynaudio speakers, they are a little over 2k a pair and are probably not high end. A good product speaks for itself, i have plenty of brands that send me things with zero strings attached. If i have an issue ill reach out to them and I give an honest review. I gravitate to your channel based on your position on how you handle reviews over EVERYTHING else. I appreciate the transparency in todays unplugged (which is quickly becoming my favorite podcast) :)

Had to return mine, software was buggy. Build quality was good, however it kept freezing, and changing between sources was not fun. Kept having to power off and on the change sources.
